The day that time forgot

Sometime between today (Feb 28th) and tomorrow (March 1st) there lies a day. We won't see that day this year, but we see it next year. I, of course, am speaking of leap day. You may think that leap day has nothing to do with money, but it does. Here are a few examples. Think if you were born on leap day, and your grandma sent you money on only Feb 29th for your birthday. You are getting 1/4 of grandma money. As you know, grandma money is a God given right. In fact, Mrs. Planner's got grandma money in the mail yesterday. I don't know why, but getting $25.00 from grandma actually feels like you are getting $1000. It's simply the power of grandma money.

Let me continue. Allow your mind to embrace your typical shop owner. He has his store open an extra day on leap day. That is extra revenue for his family. Of course that is one more day for his teenage daughter to run up the family cell phone bill.

Hank Aaron signed the first $200,000 baseball contract on this day, and Mario Andretti was born on leap day. My knowledge of reproduction tells me that he would still have been born if there wasn't a leap day, but an interesting point none the less.

So raise your glasses, "To February 29th. I have seen seven of them in my life and I look forward to my eighth. May you become less obscure than the actor who played cousin Oliver (pictured above) on the Brady Bunch. God speed."

Good old cousin Oliver. I am guessing he is from Carol's side of the family since he has blonde hair. Why exactly did they find it necessary to have a 7th child in the story?
