I'm glad I have an emergency fund

I often talk about the importance of having an emergency fund. The reality is that there are times in life when...well...life happens. You don't know when your brakes are going to go out. You don't know when your property taxes are going up. Sometimes you forget that you checked out a library book 10 years ago, and now owe $400 in late fees.
Well, life happened yesterday. Starbucks raised the price of their coffee drinks by 9 cents. 9 cents per day! That's crazy. It was crazy before, but now it is approaching ludicrous. Yet, I can't give up. That is what my emergency fund is for. I will somehow come up with the money. Maybe I can take over Mike Vick's dogfighting operation. What? They do what? Oh, I thought the dogs wore boxing gloves. Well, in that case, I'm not getting into dog fighting.
Did you ever think that Starbucks purposefully wedged their way into our lives just to constantly raise prices on us. They have us by the neck. I must persevere. I must...ZZZZ....ZZZZZZ. Oh, sorry.... I couldn't afford the coffee this morning.
