I am often asked, "what profession usually does the best job with their money?" First of all let me be very clear. If I were to give an answer to this question, then I would be creating a stereotype. I don't like perpetuating stereotypes, or for that matter, starting them. Besides, I can both jump and dance.

Here are my top five professions for dealing with their money in the most efficient way possible.
1. Engineers
2. Teachers - Looking for brownie points from Mrs. Planner
3. Therapists
4. Doctors
5. Bill Gates

I won't list my bottom five professions, but I will tell you one profession that is unfortunately on that list.

Financial Advisors

I, of course, am not bad with my money, but I would say that a great majority of advisors are. I actually conduct workshops for financial advisors on how to deal with their money. Ask your advisor if they are good with their money, and watch the stammering begin.
